抗元英雄陈吊眼（1250-1282年）农民起义遗址

　抗元英雄陈吊眼简传

　　陈吊眼（1250—1282），因曾称号“镇闽开国大王”，亦称“陈吊王”。云霄南山保牛坑村（今淹没于杜塘水库）人。南宋景炎元年（1276），元兵攻福建、江西、广东，端宗赵罡南逃，吊眼聚众在红竹尖起义。次年元兵入闽，文天祥奔走汀州、漳州组织抵抗，吊眼正要率义师应援，文已由广东梅州往江西。景炎三年，泉州招抚使蒲寿庚献城降元，吊眼大怒，率义师联合广东大埔畲洞许夫人（宋都督府张世杰夫人）和张世杰所部谢洪永等围攻泉州，闽北戴巽子、黄华、廖得胜等也群起响应，占据建宁、政和、邵武等地岩洞，后因元兵增援撤围。
　　祥兴二年（1279年）二月，崖山之战，宋亡。元至元十七年（1280）吊眼率义军5万攻破漳州，杀元招讨使傅全、万户府阙文兴，进占高安寨。元廷遣大将唆都反扑，吊眼退出漳州，部署桂龙驻龙层祭畲，陈三官驻水篆畲，罗半天、梅龙驻长窖，陈大妇驻客寮，自镇漳浦峰山寨，义军号称10万。元将阿达哈奏请调遣戌三海口兵力合击，元帝以动用的人力物力太大未同意。次年，吊眼与南剑邱细春称号镇闽开国大王，建元“昌泰”。元帝怕其影响日益扩大，随即派都元帅完者都、副帅高兴，调集拨归塔里赤指挥的4省军队进行强攻，吊眼率义军浴血奋战，终因众寡悬殊于和尚寮千壁岭（俗称“夭壁岭”）战败被俘，后被杀于漳州。
　　世传吊眼有一妹，善用兵，驻守红竹尖（在今云霄常山华侨农场石牌村附近，山上有“天星聚讲”、“朝天人气冲霄”等摩崖石刻，列为县级文物保护单位），并在悬钟鼻峰设了望台，吊眼被俘后率余部入广东饶平不知所终，后人在悬钟鼻立小庙，四时供献花粉。
